Irish Horse Board Showjumping Classes at Cavan Show

The sixth leg in the IHB series of showjumping classes got underway at Cavan Equestrian Centre on Friday 25th August. A qualifier in each age category was held on Friday, with the top ten horses qualifying for the finals. On Saturday, the second set of qualifiers took place, with the top ten horses joining the top ten from Friday in the Sunday finals.

In the 5 year old final, Ronnie Hollinger’s Creevagh Miss Jones (ISH) and Delyth Collins were the winners, after an impressive jump off. In the 6/7 year old final, last to go were Ballypatrick Esperanza (ISH) and Greg Broderick. Jumping clear, the duo managed to shave less than a second off the time set by John McGuinness and were victorious in the class.

This leg of IHB showjumping classes was the penultimate leg in the series. Based on the league standings, the top twenty horses and riders in each of the age categories will be invited to attend the Grand Final at Iverk on September 7th.
