Irish Horse Board Showjumping Classes at Millstreet Show

The sixth leg in the series of IHB Showjumping Classes took place at Millstreet Show, which ran from 14th to 19th August 2007. Qualifiers were held on Tuesday with the top twenty in each qualifier going into the finals, which were held on Friday morning.

Entries for both age categories were at an all time high, with 69 and 70 entries for the 5 year old and 6/7 year old qualifiers respectively. The standard of jumping in both the qualifiers and finals was extremely good, with the finals being run in the main arena.

In the 5 year old final, Andrew Bourns rode Oakport White Water (ISH) to victory. This combination have had great success in the IHB Showjumping Series to date, the Millstreet final being their third win of the series. In the 6/7 year old final, it was John Melia’s Special Effects (ISH) ridden by Olive Clarke that were the winners.

The Irish Horse Board would like to thank all those involved with Millstreet Horse Show for their help in running this leg of the series. The next leg in the IHB Showjumping series will take place at Limerick Show, which runs from 25th to 26th August.
