Irish Horse Board Showjumping Classes at Punchestown

The second leg of the IHB series of showjumping classes took place at Punchestown Three Day Event and Horse Show, which ran from 17th to 20th May. Qualifiers in both age groups were held, in blustery conditions, on Friday evening. The top twenty horses from each qualifier then jumped in the finals, which were held on Saturday afternoon.

Winning the 5 year old final, was Fiona Campbell and Sallymount Touch of Clover (ISH). In the 6/7 year old final, Delyth Collins rode Creevagh Miss Jones (ISH) to victory. This duo were the winners of the IHB Showjumping Classes 5 Year Old Grand Final in 2006, and it is wonderful to see they have had such success on their first outing of the 2007 series.

The Irish Horse Board would like to thank all those who assisted with the classes at Punchestown. Special thanks must be given to the course builders, in particular Frank Glynn, for all their hard work in adverse conditions on Friday evening.
