Irish Sport Horse Showjumping Series 2008
Two further dates have been announced in the ISH Showjumping Series 2008. They are Kennedy's Dohyle Stud Show, which takes place from 20th to 21st June, and Tattersalls Ward Union Hunt Show, which takes place from 25th to 27th July. Details of the Grand Final will be announced shortly.
Sponsoring 5 year old & 6/7 year old showjumping classes at:
- Louth County Show - 26th to 27th April
- Cavan Show - 16th to 18th May
- Mullingar Show - 31st May to 2nd June
- Galway County Show - 14th to 15th June
- Kennedy's Dohyle House Stud Show - 20th to 21st June
- Omagh Show - 4th to 5th July
- Ballina Show - 11th to 13th July
- Tattersalls Ward Union Hunt Show - 25th to 27th July
- Millstreet Show - 12th to 16th August

€10,000 on offer at each venue
At each venue there will be a qualifier in both age categories with the top twenty horses from both age categories going through to the finals. In the 6/7 year old age category, 7 year olds will be handicapped by an increase in course height.
Prize Money
There will be €10,000 in prize money available at each venue, as will as €800 in breeders' prizes.
Eligibility
Horses with the breed codes ISH, RID or ID that are registered in the Irish Horse Register, by a stallion approved in the Main Section of the IHR, and with sire and dam documented on their passport are eligible to compete.
FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Horses 2008, Lanaken, Belgium
The Irish Sport Horse Showjumping Series will be used as part of the selection process for horses selected to participate at Lanaken 2008.
League & Riders' Prizes
The series will be run as a league with points being awarded down to sixth place in each final. Any horse and rider combination that gains points throughout the series will be invited to attend the Grand Final. Points accumulated throughout the series will also be used to award riders' prizes to the top three horse and rider combinations in both age categories.
