The seventh leg in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 took place at Ballina Show, which ran from 11^th to 13^th July. There was €10,000 in prize money on offer, in addition to €800 in breeders’ prizes. The qualifiers took place on Friday with the top twenty in both age categories qualifying for Sunday’s finals.

In the 5 year old final, Mervyn Clarke Jnr. continued on his winning form with Lady Latt (ISH), with whom he won the Omagh final at the last leg of the series. The duo were 2 seconds faster than John Floody and Coppindell (ISH), who retaining their lead in the 5 year old league.

In the 6/7 year old final, Conor Drain was victorious with Loughview Lou-Lou (ISH), owned and bred by Judith Sossick from County Antrim. In the same class, Clem McMahon and Belle Rock (ISH) finished in second place to take home their share of the €4,500 prize fund.
