The ninth leg in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2008 took place at Millstreet Show, which ran from 12^th to 17^th August. There was €10,000 in prize money on offer, as well as €800 in breeders’ prizes. With the Millstreet leg being the last leg before the Grand Final, it was the last chance for horse and rider combinations to gain an invitation to the Grand Final.

In the 5 year old final, John Floody and Coppindell (ISH) were victories, taking their fifth victory in the series to date and strengthening their position at the top of the 5 year old league. Winning the 6/7 year old final was Judith Sossick’s talented mare, Loughview Lou-Lou (ISH) ridden by Conor Drain. The duo, having now recorded a hat trick of wins after taking the finals at both Ballina and Tattersalls, lead the 6/7 year old league.

The Grand Final will take place at the National Championships, which runs from 5^th to 7^th September at Barnadown. Horse and rider combinations that have gained points throughout the series will be invited to attend the Grand Final. Where a horse has gained points with more than one rider, the owner will be asked to nominate which rider will attend. The current league standings, including points gained at Millstreet, are detailed below. Points will also be awarded at the Grand Final to determine the final league standings.
