The fourth leg in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2009 took place at Galway County Show, which ran from 20^th to 21^st June. There was €10,000 on offer from Horse Sport Ireland for these young Irish Sport Horse classes.

The qualifier classes took place on Saturday, with the top 20 horses in both age groups qualifying for Sunday’s finals. The 6/7 Year Old Final took place on Sunday morning, with only four of the combinations making it through to the jump off. In the end, only Ross Mulholland and Linda Courtney’s Diamond Toby (ISH) could produce a double clear round, and took first place in the class worth €4,500.

The 5 Year Old Final took place after the Grand Prix.  Six horses jumped clear in the first round to make it through to the jump off, which is not run against the clock. Stephen Egan & Special Lux (ISH), Miguel Bravo & HHS Apache (ISH) and Conor Drain & Porsch’s Diamond (ISH) jumped double clear rounds to share victory in the class.

The next leg in the Series will take place at Omagh Show, which runs from 3^rd to 4^th July. Full results, breeding details and the current League Standings are outlined below. Conor Drain still tops both Leagues, with Porsch’s Diamond (ISH) in the 5 Year Old League and with Loughview Lou-Lou (ISH) in the 6/7 Year Old League.
