The fifth leg in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2009 took place at Omagh Show, which ran from 3^rd to 4^th July. There was €10,000 in prize money on offer for these young horse classes.

The qualifiers took place on Friday with the top twenty combinations in both age categories making it through to Saturday’s finals. First of the finals was the 5 Year Old class. Five combinations split first place – I’m One Cool Cookie (ISH) & John McGuinness, HHS Pinky (ISH) & Marion Hughes, Efflorescence (ISH) & Kelda Morgan, Hermes Clover (ISH) & Angela Percy and HHS Apache (ISH) & Marion Hughes.

The 6/7 Year Old Final saw eleven combinations making it through to the jump off. Third last to go was Clem McMahon and the 7 year old mare, Belle Rock (ISH). The duo left all fences standing in a time of 36.58, to take the class and also move into poll position in the 6/7 Year Old League.

This weekend the action moves to Ballina Show, which is the last chance to qualify for the Series Grand Final. Full results from Omagh, including breeding information and the league standings, are detailed below.
