Results from Irish Horse Board Sponsored Classes At Kill International

Irish Sport Horse classes held at Kill International over the weekend highlighted the quality of young Irish bred horses from around the country. These classes featured a 5 year old and a 6/7 year old class. Riders were eager to qualify their horses for the final, which boasted a generous prize fund of €5000 for each competition. Additional prize money was also on offer for the breeder of the winning horse in each class

Four qualifiers were held over the course of the two days with €500 prize money for each qualifier. The top twenty horses from the two qualifiers in each class qualified for the finals.

Winning the five year old class was Heracross (ISH) ridden by Francis Connors who put in a spectactular display in the jump off finishing on a time of 25.18. Heracross is by Ramiro B (BWP) out of Kingsway Clover (RID) by Clover Hill (RID) and was bred by Elise Woods. Close in second was Waiting for William (ISH) ridden by Darragh Kenny.

In the Six/seven year old class Mullaghdrin Gold Rain (ISH) and Shane Breen took the honours with an excellent display of horsemanship riding one of the best rounds of the weekend.
