Connemara Pony Show, Clifden 2005

The 81st Annual Connemara Pony Show, which was sponsored by the Irish Horse Board, got under way last Thursday, 18th of August, at The Showgrounds, Clifden. The Show was a resounding success with huge crowds, from both home and abroad, gathering to witness a magnificent exhibition of top class Connemara Ponies.

The Connemara Pony Breeders’ Society provided excellent facilities for all involved and the Irish Horse Board is delighted to have been associated with such a successful event.

Results:

Supreme Champion of the Show went to Kingstown Molly 2nd, the winner of the registered mare 10 to 15 year old class. Kingstown Molly 2nd is by Coral Prince, out of Kingstown Molly and is owned by Mr John Noel Mullen, Cleggan, Co. Galway and bred by Mr Joe Gorham, Clifden, Co. Galway.

Reserve Champion went to the winner of the registered stallion class 4 years and over, Currachmore Cashel. Currachmore Cashel is by Rosenaharley Rowley and is out of Tolka Bridge. This stallion is owned and bred by Mr Eamonn Burke, Castlegar, Co. Galway.
