IHB Sponsoring the Breeders Championship, Fàilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show 2005

The Irish Horse Board is delighted to announce the sponsorship of this years’ Breeders Championship at the Fàilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show 2005, which will take place from Wednesday the 3rd to Sunday the 7th August.

A substantial prize fund of €20,000 is on offer from the Irish Horse Board, with a first prize of €5,000. Other sizeable prizes will be awarded down to 10th place. A prize fund of €5,000 will be allocated for the top three foals by an approved Thoroughbred sire. “It is hoped that this will promote the traditional Irish cross which has been at the heart of so many of our successes down through the years”, said Nicholas Finnerty, Director General of the Irish Horse Board.

The Breeders Championship is an exceptional class that showcases high quality Irish mares and their progeny. The Irish Horse Board is delighted to be associated with this class that is a shop window for all that is good in Irish breeding.

The Breeders Championship Cup will be presenting in memory of Lynn Aldridge, former Director General of the Irish Horse Board.
