Irish Horse Board Sponsorship at the Longines Royal International Show
Hickstead 2007

The IHB were proud to sponsor the Irish Horse Board International Chase at the Longines Royal International Show, which took place from 25th to 29th July at Hickstead.

With 45 entries for this prestigious class, competition was fierce for this 1m45 Table A, the first international of the week at Hickstead. The class was run as a two phase competition and over half of the field made it through to the second phase.

Three Irish Sport Horses competed in the IHB International Chase, Chippison (ISH) & Marie Burke (Irl), World Cruise (ISH) & Shane Breen (Irl) and Calibra II (ISH) & Lotta Schultz (Swe), with all three making it through to the second phase.

In the end it was Molly Ashe (USA) & Cocu who were victorious after leading from early on in the competition on a very fast time of 41.57. Calibra II (ISH) was the highest placed Irish Sport Horse in third, while Chippison (ISH) finished in seventh position.
