IRISH HORSE BOARD AIRC NATIONAL ONE DAY EVENT

The Irish Horse Board were proud to sponsor the AIRC National one day event which was held on Sunday 16th of September in Corbeagh House, Co. Longford.

With 218 entries for the event competition was tough across the grades. Winning the open section of the event was Shannonsides James McCullagh and In Lodge finishing on their dressage score of 18.50. The Advanced Intermediate was hotly contested but it was Abbeylands Liz Power and her Clover Hill mare Cushyhill Clover that were victorious in this section.

Three sections of intermediate which were won by Greenvalleys Deirdre Fox and Gung Ho, Milestones Lodges Gail Munnelly and her own Petit Daniel and Mosstowns Marie Murray and Oscar Romeo. The Young Horse section saw Moyglares Orla Marron take the top spot on Cool Hooper.

With two sections of the Advanced Primary grade which were won by Celbridges Deirdre Feely and her connemara gelding Capperan Dangan and section two was dominated from the dressage stage by Hollybrooks Saragh Ridgeway and Gleggans George.

The winning team reigned from South Leinster and consisted of Helena Power, Hollybrook RC, Wendy Seymour, Greenvalley RC, Daphne Lush, Foxborough RC and Sarah Ridgeway, Hollybrook RC.

The Irish Horse Board awarded bursaries of €250 to the highest placed ISH or ID by an approved sire in each of the sections.
