In order to support young riders competing to a high level on Irish bred horses the Irish Horse Board will be awarding training bursaries of €1,000 to all young/junior riders that win a Grand Prix on a horse registered in the Irish Sport Horse or Irish Draught Horse Studbook.

The Irish Horse Board in proud to extend it support of the Connemara Pony in 2007 to the Connemara Performance Pony Association. The CPPA are running a series of Championship classes, with qualifiers being held at around 20 venues in Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. The qualifiers will culminate in a Championship Final at the Oughterard Show in August.
