Potential Dressage talent at Tattersalls
Potential Dressage talent at Tattersalls
The third qualifier of the Irish Horse Board and Dressage Ireland, Potential Irish Dressage Horse class got underway at Tattersalls on Sunday last.
There was plenty of talent on display and the judges Ann Marie Dunphy and Donie McNamara had the difficult task of marking these four and five year olds on their walk, trot, canter, conformation, way of going, and training potential.
Winning the class was The Journeyman, a four year old by the Hannovarian stallion Voltaire and out of Skreemor Rustic Charm (ISH) by Clover Hill (ISH). The Journeyman was bred by Jim Tempany, Skeen, Co Sligo and is owned by Maura Rooney, Moyvore, Mullingar, Co Westmeath.
The next qualifier in will take place at the Tullamore Show on the 14th of August. The top twelve horses will qualify for the finals in Marlton Stud, Co Wicklow in early September where there will be a prize fund of €2,500 on offer. A further €300 will be awarded to the breeder of the winning horse.
