European Young Rider Showjumping Championships 2006, Athens

The European Young Rider Championships took place in Athens, Greece from 6th to 9th July. The competition was held at the Olympic Equestrian Centre in Markopoulo, venue of the 2004 Olympic Games.

Representing Ireland, Mark Flynn and Ballinclover Boy (ISH) were the only Irish duo to qualify for the Individual Final. The pair tackled the 1m45 course to finish 14th in the first individual qualifier.

Ballinclover Boy (ISH) is a 1998 chestnut gelding by Ballinvella (TB) out of Aubane Clover (ID), by Clover Hill (RID). Bred by Daniel Barrett of Aubane House, Millstreet, Co. Cork, he is owned by Nicola Flynn.
