FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses
Lanaken, Belgium – 20th to 23rd September 2007
A maximum of five horses from each age category (5 year olds, 6 year olds & 7 year olds) will be selected to represent the Irish Sport Horse Studbook using the criteria outlined below.
Selection Procedures for Lanaken 2007:
- Top two horses of each age from the first seven IHB showjumping classes (Louth County, Punchestown, Mullingar, Galway County, Ballina, Tattersalls Ward Union Hunt Show, Millstreet)
- Top eligible horse from the RDS c lasses
- Two further horses to be selected after Millstreet Show (15th – 19th August)
To promote top young Irish Sport Horses competing on this world stage, very significant prize money will be on offer from the Irish Horse Board for horses that finish in the top ten in the Finals of the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses at Lanaken, Belgium.
IHB Prize Fund Available:
- 1st €10,000
- 2nd €9,000
- 3rd €8,000
- 4th €7,000
- 5th €6,000
- 6th €5,000
- 7th €4,000
- 8th €3,000
- 9th €2,000
- 10th €1,000
Eligibility Criteria:
Horses with the breed codes ISH, RID or ID that are registered in the IHR by a stallion approved in the Main Studbook of the IHR, and with sire and dam breeding documented on the passport, are eligible.
