FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses
Lanaken, Belgium – 27th to 30th September 2007

The FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses will take place at Zangersheide, Lanaken, Belgium from 27th to 30th September 2007. A maximum of five horses in each age category (5, 6 & 7 year olds) may be selected to represent the Irish Sport Horse Studbook at this prestigious event and will be awarded a travel grant by the Irish Horse Board. Selection criteria for Irish Sport Horses travelling to the Championships to represent the Irish Sport Horse Studbook are detailed below.

Selection criteria: 

• Horses with the breed codes ISH, RID or ID that are registered in the IHR by a stallion approved in the Main Studbook of the IHR, and with sire and dam documented on their passport are eligible for selection 
• Top two horses of each age from the first seven IHB Showjumping Classes (up to and including Millstreet) will be selected 
• Top eligible horse of each age from the RDS will be selected 
• Two further horses of each age to be selected after Millstreet

In order to promote top young Irish Sport Horses competing on this world stage, very significant prize money will be on offer from the IHB for horses that finish in the top ten in the Finals of the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses at Lanaken 2007.

The prize money will be awarded as follows for placing in the Finals:

• 1st - €10,000
• 2nd - €9,000
• 3rd - €8,000
• 4th - €7,000
• 5th - €6,000
• 6th - €5,000
• 7th - €4,000
• 8th - €3,000
• 9th - €2,000
• 10th - €1,000
