IHB Awards at the Eventing Ball 2007

The Eventing Ireland Ford National Media Awards took place at the David Foster Injured Riders Fund Annual Ball on Saturday 27th January 2007. For the 12th consecutive year, the Irish Sport Horse Studbook has been ranked 1st in the WBFSH Eventing Rankings 2005/2006. In addition to this magnificent achievement, the individual rankings for eventing saw two Irish Sport Horses taking the top two places. In recognition of this achievement, the Irish Horse Board presented awards to the owners, breeders and riders of Ringwood Cockatoo (ISH) who was ranked 1st and Ben Along Time (ISH) who was ranked 2nd.

Ben Along Time (ISH) – 1995 brown gelding by Cavalier Royale (HOLST) out of Campaigner’s Dream (ISH), by Campaigner (TB). Bred by Anne-Marie & James Jameson, Co. Monaghan. Owners: Peta & Edwin McAuley. Rider: Clayton Fredericks (Aus)

Robert Greer, Anne-Marie Jameson and Clayton Fredericks were in attendance to accept the awards from Joe Walsh, Chairman of the Irish Horse Board. Unfortunately, Bettina Hoy was unable to attend but Clayton’s wife Lucinda kindly accepted the award on her behalf.

The Irish Horse Board would like to congratulate the owners, breeders and riders of Ringwood Cockatoo and Ben Along Time on their impressive achievement. The IHB would also like to thank all those at Eventing Ireland who organised the Media Awards and ensured that the evening was a success that was enjoyed by all.
