IHB Sponsored Television Coverage for Eventing

This week RTE televised the Eventing Programme on the OB Sport programme. This programme was initially scheduled to air of October 15th. Nevertheless, eventing made up a third of RTE’s OB Sport programme, with a package filmed, edited and delivered by Panache Television.

The footage included Panache’s newly designed, experimental ‘HELMET CAMERA’, which was kindly worn by Camilla Speirs. The mini-camera gives a rider’s eye view of the cross-country round. Panache Television worked closely with a company that specialises in providing equipment for rally driving and they adapted the prototype camera for use in Eventing.

RTE were so taken by the footage, they are putting the whole round on the OB Sport website. Panache also designed and animated a ‘speedometer’, which illustrates the varying speed achieved by horse and rider as they tackle the course.

Internationally, the half hour programme on Necarne Castle International Three Day Event will be shown on Sky Sports (UK), Horse & Country TV (UK, Sky Channel 280), Fox Sports (Australia), Supersport (South Africa) and The Horse TV Channel (USA).

Transmission times for Irish viewers are detailed below.

RTE 2, OB Sport, Saturday afternoon, 6th October:
