Ireland finished in fourth place in the CCI*** at Boekelo in Holland, which ran from the 9^th to 12^th October. Captain Geoff Curran (Irl) was best of the Irish in the individual results, finishing in 19^th place with The Jump Jet (ISH). Irish Sport Horses featured on nearly every team at Boekelo.

On the showjumping circuit, the Horse Of The Year Show took place at Birmingham. Ireland’s Billy Twomey had a tremendous show, winning two major classes earlier in the week and then going on to win Sunday’s Grand Prix. At the same show, That’s Life (ISH) and Michel Hecart (Fra) took home their share of the €16,400 prize fund after finishing fourth in the Accumulator.
