Irish Show Jumping Team to feature on Setanta Sports

Irish International riders Captain Shane Carey and Edward Doyle along with Horse Sport Ireland's Chairman Mr Joe Walsh were in attendance at the Army Equitation School in Dublin today to launch Setanta's coverage of the 2008 Samsung Super League.

The Samsung Super League is the international team show jumping event, in which eight elite nations, including Ireland, compete at eight events at world-class venues. Other participating countries include Belgium, Switzerland, the USA, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany and Great Britain.

Setanta's coverage of the Samsung Super League will involve eight one hour highlights programmes from each of the events. The programmes will be broadcast at 8.00pm on the Saturday evening of the weekend following the event on the Setanta Ireland channel.

This series with Setanta will give the public an opportunity to see our star performers in action for Ireland in the world's premier Showjumping League."

The first Samsung Super League programme featuring highlights from the opening event at La Baule in France will be broadcast on Setanta Ireland at 8.00pm on Saturday May 17th next.
