Irish Sport Horse Success at Burghley

Irish Sport Horses dominated in the CCI**** at Burghley Horse Trials over the weekend. Moon Fleet, the Irish-bred gelding, finished in an impressive second place with Andrew Hoy on board. Out of the top ten placed horses in the CCI****, four of them were Irish-bred.

Meanwhile, on the showjumping circuit, Irish Sport Horses had a successful two weeks with several wins and placings in top class events. At Spruce Meadows CSIO*****, McGuinness (ISH) finished 2nd in the Encana Cup. While at Podebrady, Eddie Maloney and Chatsworth Dan (ISH) were 2nd in the 1m50 class. New York based rider Michael Kerins, scooped the $9,000 prize with Nos Na Gaoithe (ISH) in the young horse class at Bridgehampton.
