Irish Sport Horses enjoyed considerable success on both the showjumping and eventing circuits last week. In showjumping, Sharon Quigley (Gbr) and Lugana Beach (ISH) won the Small Tour Grand Prix at the Sunshine Tour. At the same event, it was another good week for Francis Connors (Irl) and Merlins Magic (ISH) who were ninth in the Big Tour Grand Prix. In Thermal, California, Rich Fellers (USA) and Flexible (ISH) had success in the $200,000 Grand Prix class when they placed seventh.

In eventing, the Red Hills Horse Trials took place in Tallahasse. Winning the CIC*** World Cup event was American rider Clark Montgomery and the Irish Sport Horse Up Spirit (ISH). The CIC** event was also won by an Irish Sport Horse, when Phillip Dutton (USA) and Bailey Wick (ISH) took first place.
