Irish Sport Horse Success in both Showjumping & Eventing

Irish Sport Horses were in the prizes at events throughout Europe last week, on both the showjumping and eventing circuits. Royal Charmer (ISH) and Marcus Fuchs (Sui) had a successful week at Luzern (Sui), winning the LGT Preis 1m45 class and finishing 3rd in the Preis der Stadt Luzern 1m45. In Lisbon, Richmont Park (ISH) and Pedro Veniss (Bra) were not only victorious in the Lisbon Grand Prix, but were also part of the winning 4* Nations Cup team for Brazil. The Irish team riders were also in the prizes, with Mo Chroi (ISH) and Comdt. Gerry Flynn, Chippison (ISH) and Marie Burke, and Ringfort Cruise (ISH) and Capt. David O’Brien finishing in joint second place in the 4* Nations Cup competition.

In eventing, Ringwood Cockatoo (ISH) and Bettina Hoy (Ger) were second in the CCI**** at Luhmuhlen, Germany. Meanwhile, the sun shined on Tattersalls International Three Day Event, where The Jump Jet (ISH) and Lt. Geoff Curran (Irl) finished in second place in the CCI**. The CCI* was won by Master Mexico (ISH) and Michael Ryan (Irl) after an impressive display in the showjumping arena.
