Le Lion d’Anger 20th -23rd October

Irish Sport Horses were well represented in Eventing at Le lion D’Angers last weekend.

In the Six year old CCI* Angela Tucker (GBR) finished 3rd on a score of 47.30 on the Irish bred Irish Jester. Silvia Bazzani (ITA) finished in 16th with the Irish Sport Horse gelding Corofin. In 26th place Michael Diamantides (GRE) rode the Irish Sport Horse XLNT Cavalier.

The Seven year old CCI** class saw Claire Lewis (GBR) taking 5th place with the Irish Sport Horse Cruisalier. Sally Corscadden and Millridge Kalmar were the highest place Irish rider and horse combination finishing in 17th. Cormac Farrell and Wood U Attack finished in 25th and Aoife Sisk and Tel Royale finished in 32nd. 

A lot of imagination was used in the design of the course with horses jumping a rabbit, a dog and a horse. With the array of different fences to jump it was an excellent opportunity for riders to educate these young horses and build their confidence for their careers on the international circuit.

The Irish Horse Board awarded travel grants to all the Irish Sport Horse and Irish rider combinations competing at Le Lion D’Angers and were delighted with their performance.

25th Wood U Attack ~ by Taldi (TB), out of Leguan Princess (ID) by Leguan Prince (RID). Bred by Patrick Kavanagh, Askinvillar, Kiltealy, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford and owned by Denis Farrell.
