Le Lion d’Angers 2007

The World Breeding Eventing Championships took place at Le Lion d’Angers from 18th to 21st October. The Irish Sport Horse breed was well represented at this prestigious young horse competition.

In the 6 year old section, New Zealand’s Andrew Nicholson finished in forth place with Mr Cruise Control (ISH), finishing on their dressage score. In the 7 year old class, it was evident why the Irish Sport Horse breed has lead the WBFSH rankings for 13 years, when Piggy French (Gbr) rode Cast Away II (ISH) to victory, finishing on their impressive dressage score of 39.80.

In the Studbook Competition for the World Breeding Trophy the Irish Sport Horse Studbook finished in second place, with Cast Away II (ISH) & Piggy French (Gbr), Mr Cruise Control (ISH) & Andrew Nicholson (Nzl) and Silver Johnnie (ISH) & Malin Larsson (Swe) contributing to the final standings.
