Profile of Judges & Inspectors for the Irish Horse Board

  • Col. Ned Campion is a former member of the Army Equitation School. Ned competed successfully as an international showjumper and is also a former Chef d'Equipe of the Irish showjumping team.
  • George Chapman from County Wexford is a successful breeder and producer of Irish Draught and Irish Sport Horses. He is Chairman of the Irish Master of Foxhounds Association (IMFHA) and the Master of the Island Foxhounds.
  • Jack Doyle is a well known international showjumper and producer of young horses. From County Kildare, Jack is also a highly respected coach.
  • Maurice Coleman from County Cork is a keen horseman being involved in showjumping, eventing, hunting and the breeding side of equestrianism in Ireland.
  • Lt. Col. Ronnie MacMahon from County Meath is a former member of the Army Equitation School and former international rider. He is actively involved in the equestrian world, especially with the Future Event Horse League (FEHL).
  • Peter Leonard from County Limerick is a well known producer of young horses and competes regularly on the national showjumping circuit .
  • Thomas McCrann from County Leitrim is a member of the Irish Draught inspection panel. He is a respected breeder. Thomas has judged both at home and abroad, including judging in North America.
  • Charlotte Moore from County Antrim is a member of the Irish Draught inspection panel. Charlotte is a highly respected Irish Draught judge and breeder and producer of Irish Draughts. Her family have a long standing involvement in Irish Draught breeding.
  • John Allen from County Clare is a member of the Irish Draught inspection panel. John is a very long standing member of the inspection panel. His experience ranges from mare inspections to stallion inspections to showing.
  • John Joyce from County Mayo is a member of the Irish Draught inspection panel. He is an esteemed breeder and has judged nationally and internationally, in both North America and the United Kingdom. John has been involved in both inspection tours and shows.
