Rockrimmon Silver Diamond (RID)

The Irish Draught stallion, Rockrimmon Silver Diamond was presented to the Irish Horse Board by his late owner, Mr. Barry O’Brien, in 2005. The stallion was born in 1994 and is fully approved in the Irish Horse Register. He was bred by Patrick Gleeson, Coolgreen House, Dromkeen, Co. Limerick.

For the 2006 and 2007 breeding seasons, the stallion stood with Mr. Timothy Carey of Tullaghansleek Stud, Co. Westmeath. The two-year period, which was the agreed period that the stallion would stand with his initial custodian, has now ended.

Applications were invited in November for stallion masters to apply for the custody of Rockrimmon Silver Diamond for the 2008 and 2009 breeding seasons. Final selection was be made by means of a draw among eligible applicants. Details of the draw results will be announced later this week.
