Sport Horse Breeders Skillnet - Upcoming Training Courses for Sport Horse Breeders
The Sport Horse Breeders Skillnet has an exciting programme of training courses on offer for sport horse breeders over the coming months.
For a once-off membership fee of €150, breeders can avail of a wide range of courses including 'Equine Nutrition', 'Sport Horse Sales and Marketing', 'Mare Management' 'Care, Handling and Production of Young Stock', 'Mare and Stallion Assessment/Genetics' and 'Horseman Skills - Lunging, Loose Schooling & Showing In-hand'. In addition, a number of field trips and workshops will be organised throughout later in the year.
The next course to be held by the Sport Horse Breeders Skillnet will be 'Equine Nutrition'. The course will be divided into four sessions and will take place on the following dates:

NOTE: All sessions will take place from 7-10pm.
Also coming up shortly is a practical training session on 'Equine Reproduction', which will be held on Tuesday 12th August at UCD Lyons Research Farm, Newcastle, Co. Kildare. The training session will cover teasing mares, collecting, analysing and freezing semen and scanning mares.
All courses run by the Sport Horse Breeders Skillnet are free of charge to members. Membership forms can be requested from Ms. Jacqueline Ladley (contact details below) or downloaded from the following link:

The completed Membership Forms should be returned to Ms. Ladley, along with the annual membership fee of €150. Membership is available to residents of the Republic of Ireland and is limited to the first 400 applicants. It is advised to apply for membership early to avoid disappointment.
